It's fair time again!!

Our family love the Pima County Fair! We're not big on the carnival portion of the fair, but we love the 4-H barn, petting zoo, exhibition halls, and, of course, the food! This year was Quinn's first time at the fair. She seemed a little apprehensive.

The very first hall we went into have a huge sandbox in the center. We were pretty sure that was all we were going to see because the kids were having such a good time in it.

Quinn's apprehension soon wore off and she fell asleep...

It was time for the barn!!! YAY!!! Elliot was so excited about seeing the chickens. We had to go from cage to cage and look for eggs. He was a little disappointed when I told him not to bother looking in the rooster cages. I really enjoyed looking at the goats and sheep. Next year Leigh will have his work cut out for him keeping me from buying a baby goat! But before we could go into the barn Julia wanted to be a cow.

And Leigh and I had to be farmers.

Then it was LUNCH!! Corn dogs for the kids and hamburgers for Leigh and me. YUM!

Mmmmm. Ice.

Did someone say lunch?

Then it was the highlight of the fair: PIGLET RACES!! Elliot got to be the cheerleader for the orange pig and wave the orange flag. He was so excited! (Well as excited as he could get in 100 degree weather in the sun.)

Julia got to be the cheerleader for the pink pig! Could it be more perfect?!?!

And her pig WON!! So she won a pig nose.

Everyone got to try it on.

And who could not love the Budweiser horses?

All that food and pig racing took it out of Quinn!

Our favorite exhibition hall. It has a train table (though we learned last year to keep the kids away from the big  trains because those old guys are just a little too up tight about their train sets)

Elliot had a fabulous time building a fort out of the big blocks.

He even fit inside!

Julia got to do some art.

Hey! Quinnie's awake!

And how does the Muckey family finish every fun excursion?
ICE CREAM!!!

Noah, you have a little right there...

And judging by the silence on the car ride home, I think the kids had a good time.
