Many soldiers who return from deployment go out and buy plasma TVs, surround sound systems, or even cars. What did Leigh buy? Worms. He spent a lot of time in Iraq reading about homesteading and living self sufficiently. We have plans to purchase land in Sierra Vista and grow all kinds of stuff, unfortunately the soil is poor. ENTER WORMS!
We now have a worm bin. It is essentially a compost pile with worms to assist in the breakdown of food and the enrichment of soil. Don't mock us...we're really excited about it!
The kids got to decorate the worm bin. Isn't it pretty?
We'll keep you posted on the progress of our worms...I can feel it...you're on the edge of your seat!! :)
